About
Microsoft Visual Basic .NET (VB.NET) is a programming language developed by Microsoft. It is a successor to Visual Basic 6 and Visual Basic .NET (2002). VB.NET uses the Common Language Runtime (.NET CLR), which enables it to share code with other .NET languages such as C# and F#. VB.NET is designed for rapid application development. To that end, it incorporates features of both structured and object-oriented programming languages. It has a comprehensive set of libraries, called the Framework Class Library (FCL), which covers a wide range of functionality.
