Myspace was one of the first social media platforms on the internet. It was founded in 2003 by Tom Anderson and Chris DeWolfe. Users could create profiles, add other users as friends, and post messages on each other's profiles.
Myspace became extremely popular in the early 2000s, but eventually lost popularity to newer platforms like Facebook and Instagram. In 2019, Myspace was acquired by Time Inc.
