The company operates through five segments: Personal Systems, Printing, Enterprise Services, HP Financial Services, and Corporate Investments. Personal Systems provides computing devices for consumers and small businesses. Printing offers a suite of printing technologies and products for businesses and consumers. Enterprise Services provides information technology (IT) outsourcing and other services to businesses. HP Financial Services offers a range of financial services to consumers and businesses. Corporate Investments includes Hewlett-Packard Labs and certain business incubation activities.
HP was the world's leading PC vendor by unit shipments in 2015. In 2016, HP announced plans to split into two companies: one focused on personal systems and printing, and the other on enterprise services. The split was completed in November 2017.
