CommonLISP is a dialect of the Lisp programming language, descended from MacLisp. It is an open source, ANSI-compliant software development environment and runtime. It offers garbage collection, dynamic typing, and first-class functions. CommonLISP is used in many commercial applications, including Autodesk Maya and Apple's OS X operating system.
