About
Apple Music is a music streaming service developed by Apple Inc. It was announced on June 8, 2015, and launched on June 30, 2015, in over 100 countries worldwide. The service allows users to listen to music from their personal library, as well as from Apple Music's catalog of over 30 million songs.
Apple Music also includes a 24/7 radio station called Beats 1, which is operated by DJ Zane Lowe. The service has a monthly subscription fee of $9.99 USD per month, or $14.99 USD per month for a family plan that includes up to six members.
Apple Music has been met with mixed reviews since its launch. Some reviewers have criticized the user interface and the lack of a desktop app, while others have praised the service's selection of music and its integration with iOS devices. In March 2018, Apple announced that it had reached 50 million subscribers in less than two years of its launch.
